I have lived in Devon all my life. I was brought up in a village near Tavistock and as the daughter of a church organist have been connected with the Methodist church for as long as I can remember and became a member when I was in my teens. I began my working life as a Clerical Officer in Plymouth. After my marriage in 1972, I moved to live on a farm in Halwill with my husband David (a former Circuit Steward). We have three grown up children, who are all married and we have nine grandchildren.
I am a now a retired school administrator and have also been involved with Sunday School work and youth work, especially Stowford Camp over the years and have been a local preacher for many years, which has meant travelling around to other chapels which has given me the opportunity to meet other people around the circuit. I also have been a church organist and enjoy singing.
